2. RSS SARSANGHCHALAK’S PROGRAMS: On October 7, speaking during the Amritashatham lecture series in Kozhikode (Keral), RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat highlighted the unique qualities of Bharat’s culture and society that sets it apart from others. The function was presided over by Dr. John Joseph, former Special Secretary and Member, CBIC. Dr. Bhagwat mentioned that in the global context, the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family) was gladly accepted within the G20, because it’s a view that goes beyond the global market to encompass the global family, a concept that our nation has lived for thousands of years. He explained the importance of organising Hindu society to impart this unique knowledge and emphasised the need for individuals to practice what they preach. He stressed that the organisation’s goal is not for its own sake but for the betterment of the nation and its people.
On October 11 Sarsanghchalak said that the world could learn from Bharat not only unity in diversity but also that diversity is the manifestation of the same unity as he stressed that global security lies in respect to the essence of humanity. Dr. Bhagwat said this while speaking at the launch of RSS ideologue Ranga Hari's book 'Prithvi Sookta: An Ode to Mother Earth'. On the occasion, Keral Governor Arif Mohammad Khan said the biggest ideal of Bharat is unity. "After the knowledge of oneness, the difference between God and soul disappears," he said.
On October 2, speaking at the 75th anniversary celebration of the Bengali magazine 'Swastika', Dr. Bhagwat reflected on Bharat's journey since gaining independence and the need to uphold the principles of freedom fighters and great thinkers. Further in his speech, Dr. Bhagwat emphasised that Bharat has a dual responsibility to forge a new path for the world while safeguarding its traditions, culture, and heritage.
Dr. Bhagwat met Mata Amritanandamayi Devi on October 8 at Vallikav Amritapuri Math at Kollam. Amma explained about the service activities of Amritanandamay Math in Jammu and Kashmir and North Eastern states. JAI SHRI RAM
---
SANATAN DHARMA: UNIVERSAL VISION FOR HUMANITY
The attacks on Sanatan Dharma, both internally and externally, are rooted in Hindumisia and the inability to stop this cosmic dance of Shiva, symbolising the essence of universal existence. It is our national duty to awaken the masses to the tactical alliance of Islamists, Evangelists and Communists, based on monotheism and their designs to exploit the social faultlines and selfish political interests to ‘eliminate the other’
DAVID FRAWLEY (VAMDEVA SHASTRI)

The vision of Sanatan Dharma is of an eternal and universal truth, consciousness, intelligence and Self-awareness behind the whole of existence. We as human beings are connected to that supreme truth at the core of our being, but only have a limited recognition of it as we seldom look within deep enough to discover our true nature.
The eternal truths of life do not depend upon validation from we as individual creatures, Sanatan Dharma is beyond any identification of name, belief, ideology or institution. It is inherent and self-evident, like the light of the Sun. Reflecting this cosmic vision, the Vedic view of truth is said to be apaurusheya, beyond any limitations of person, place or time.
India (Bharat) can be best understood as a “Dharmic civilisation”. Dharma is the key term of India’s cultural identity, view of truth, reality, life and the Divine.
Dharmic Traditions
Dharma refers to spiritual teachings of India, starting with the ancient Vedas, the oldest literature of India, including Yoga and Vedanta that have spread worldwide today, but also India’s art, architecture, music, dance, poetry, medicine (Ayurveda), mathematics, science, astronomy, cosmology, even agriculture and cuisine, an entire civilisation and way of life. Everything in life can be a way of Dharma as it can be a path of Yoga.
This Dharmic approach has many manifestations in the Hindu traditions that include Shaivite, Vaishnava, Shakta, Ganapata, Saura and other formulations of the universal intelligence along with their variations over time and location. It has been highlighted by the many gurus of India who have taught internationally since Swami Vivekananda 130 years ago. Yet Ankor Wat in Cambodia remains the world’s largest Hindu temple.
Buddhism called Buddha Dharma spread throughout Asia, including China, Japan and Tibet. Buddha Dharma similarly indicates universal dharmic principles and practices, not just a monastic path but an entire culture, psychology and cosmology.
Jainism or Jain Dharma has its own great architecture, mathematics, philosophy and social values that endure in India today. The Sikh tradition or Sikh Dharma has related concepts of karma, rebirth and liberation and similar practices of chanting, temples and pilgrimage. Modern India since PM Narendra Modi is honoring and reviving all these dharmic traditions.
Dharmic traditions have shared their values, practices and culture with many countries, but have not invaded any country or sought to conquer or convert the world to their beliefs. They embrace the whole of life as sacred, and see consciousness as pervading the entire universe, with humanity as one family with all of nature.

They ask us to cultivate a receptive and respectful awareness following the rhythms of life, taking us beyond any fixation on anthropomorphic or human-centered thoughts and actions.
This is not to say that dharmic traditions can be reduced to any uniformity. Dharma embraces diversity, adaptation and creativity, and allows for freedom of ideas, debate and expression. It is defined by meditation-based inner experience and direct perception at an individual level, which makes its spiritual approach free of any outer control.
Yet while recognising a universal and eternal truth of oneness, Dharmic traditions also honour the need for their adaptation according to time, place, individual and karma, which are always changing.
Meaning of Sanatan Dharma
This enduring Dharmic tradition called Sanatan Dharma refers to that Dharma which is eternal, perpetual, ever relevant and adaptable. Sanatan Dharma encompasses dharma in all of its aspects, the natural laws and forces rooted in the presence of cosmic intelligence, and harmonious action on all levels and in all aspects of life. It is not a mere formula, code, creed or assertion, but the enduring truth of life and consciousness that is interdependent and ultimately one. It is rooted in the realisation of great sages, seers, yogis in every generation, who share their teachings with all who value them.
To understand India/Bharat’s civilisation and global influence, one must understand Dharma in its Sanatan aspect, which is ever capable of new name and forms but preserves its transcendent origin and enduring prime values. Modern civilisation, rooted in an outer political worldview, does not properly understand or recognise dharma, but prefers to impose its changing opinions upon all without any recognition of any universal principles. It needs the guidance of Sanatan Dharma.
Sanatan Dharma mirrors the diverse forces of the greater Self-aware and conscious universe, not just our human species based dominance. It cannot be destroyed, possessed or controlled outwardly, because its roots are within us and everywhere, not
in any external form or structure. Yet we can fail to recognise this universal unity and instead follow divisive forces our own personal prejudices, we will create negative karma for ourselves and our world. If we fall from Dharma, our own life and consciousness must suffer, harming the world around us that we control or influence.
Santan Dharma is one with the universe at its foundation beyond name and form. Not to honour it is to deny one’s in most self and the comic reality. To deny Dharma is to destroy one’s own integrity, culture and connections with all.
Challenges to Dharma
When political parties today like the Communists, Dravidian nationalists or the dynasty-based Congress party look at India, it is to gain power and control at an outer level. They do not respect Dharma, and some of their leaders now aim at its eradication because it questions their personal privileges, as if the universe should bow down to them.
Being in harmony with Sanatan Dharma is not simply to be politically correct according to the latest social opinions that remain changing and contradictory. It is to recognise the universe within us as our true nature, family and unity for all time.
Sanatan Dharma is like the Himalayas where it has long been followed and taught by innumerable great yogis, rishi and gurus. It holds our highest aspirations to oneness, not simply the expediency of certain vested interests to divide and control. To try to remove Sanatan Dharma is to try to remove us both the Earth and the sky, leaving us no ground below on which to stand and no expanse above to which to ascend.
Dharma must be protected because it is what protects us from wrong and destructive actions. Dharma protects us and Adharma consigns to disintegration. For global peace to arise we must respect the universal vision of Dharma, not as a mere mental or emotional assertion but as an alignment with the unity of all. That Sanatan Dharma will survive is certain, but those who follow Adharma will perish by their own thoughts and actions, and can harm many others in the process. (Organiser, 8 October 2023)

1. FESTIVALS: NAVRATRI: Navratri (October 15-23 this year), the nine-night festival, is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Bharat and holds profound spiritual significance. It is dedicated to various forms of Ma Durga, each symbolizing distinct aspects of feminine power.  One captivating aspect of Navratri is the association of specific colours with each day, representing different forms of the Devi.

Navratri celebrates the victory of good over evil symbolized by the slaying of Mahishasura by Ma Durga. In North Bharat, Ramlila is organised on a large scale during Navratri. Navratri ends with Dussehra or Vijayadashami celebration on the 10th day with the burning of the effigies of Ravana to celebrate the victory of good over evil.  -GoTop

JAI SHRI RAM
---
SANATAN DHARMA AND WESTERN INTELLECTUALS

A person who does not properly know (a+b)2 and perpendicular should not speak about Integral calculus and Matrix Algebra. Unlearned political leaders with self-centered ambitions can hardly define Sanatan Dharma (or Hinduism). Sadly, such immature public figures like Udhayanidhi Stalin, MK Stalin, D Raja, and Prof. Divya Dwivedi… who deliberately denigrated Sanatan Darma (Hinduism), hold sway over huge, unsuspecting masses in society. Such people as in Europe's medieval times, lead the public into the darkness of ignorance. They pose serious threats to the communal harmony among the different communities.

Unlike in the West, "Dharma" (religion) in the ancient scriptures refers to a far deeper meaning. If you go into it deeply, you will be amazed to find that it carries under its wing the intellectual wisdom of the highest order.
Some ascetics said if anyone truly wants to know the depth of Sanatan Dharma, as enshrined in ancient texts, then he must go into solitude. Learning to swim in the "stillness" within by the practice of meditation alone helps prepare one to feel what exactly DHARMA is. As per the ancient scriptures, ‘Sanatan Dharma' literally means "eternal and universal laws or principles" that govern “everything” and “everyone”, irrespective of culture, race, religion, belief, and practice. Dharmic or spiritual practices should not be touched by the blemishes of the material world. One has to transcend the mundane world and take flight to a higher dimension through self-practice. There is no question of hatred and envy for others in Dharma.
A great American thinker, Henry David Thoreau, writes in his masterpiece WALDEN: "In the Indian ancient scriptures, the idea of man is quite ILLIMITABLE and SUBLIME. He is at length lost in the SUPREME ENTITY himself." Can our so-called intellectuals who look upon the Western intellectuals as their masters refute Henry Thoreau? Therefore, there is a great mantra (mahavakya) in one of the Upanishads: "Tat Tvam Asi", meaning "Thou Art That" -- unity of an individual soul with "Brahman" -- UNIVERSAL CONCIOUSNESS, we also call it God.
Of course, the scriptures of "dharma" (or religion) not only speak of ethics, duty, the laws of karma, life, the afterlife, and reincarnation; they also expound with absolute precision the cosmic setup and infinite timeline. A great American astrophysicist Carl Sagan says: "The Hindu religion is the only one of the world's great faiths dedicated to the idea that the Cosmos itself undergoes an immense, indeed an infinite, number of deaths and rebirths. It is the only religion in which the time scales correspond, to those of modern scientific cosmology." -- (source – COSMOS by Carl Sagan).
What is most intriguing is that those Indian sages who talked about mysticism also talked about subtle and fundamental principles that govern everything, from tiny atomic particles to giant celestial bodies and their functioning and existential phenomena. This very grand concept of Dharma and its allied intellectual wisdom bowled over scientists like Schrödinger, Heisenberg, and Oppenheimer almost a century ago. Erwin Schrödinger, the father of Quantum Mechanics, in his deeper studies of "particle" and "wave function", concluded: "The unity and continuity of Vedanta are reflected in the unity and continuity of wave mechanics.
This is entirely consistent with the Vedanta concept of ALL IN ONE." (VEDANTA is Hindu philosophy based on the doctrine of the Upanishads). Please note that Schrödinger’s "Wave Equation" revolutionized the field of quantum mechanics and paved the way for numerous technological advancements. Its application in understanding the behavior of particles at the electromagnetic level has not only enabled the development of a plethora of modern electronic devices but also played a crucial role in satellite communication, Quantum enhanced GPS, space exploration, et al.
With the finding of pulsating vibration of Quantum physics, David Bohm, David Josephson, Archibald Wheeler, Jack Sarfatti, John Hagelin, and John Bells had made attempts to plunge headlong into the cosmic sea of “UNIVERSAL Consciousness” of Upanishads as an ultimate answer.
Here is another mind-blowing opinion by a prodigious American scholar, Huston Smith, who says: "While the West was still thinking, perhaps, of 6,000-year-old universe – India was already envisioning ages and eons and galaxies as numerous as the sands of the Ganges. The Universe so vast that modern astronomy slips into its folds without a ripple." One of the most read scholars, Huston Smith's "The Religions of Man", sold worldwide over 3 million copies as of 2017.
Furthermore, after taking a plunge into Indian scriptures, TS Eliot also exclaimed, "Indian philosophers’ subtleties make most of the great European philosophers look like schoolboys."
Incidentally, yesterday, British Prime Minister Rishu Sunak, who was in India for the G20 summit, said that he takes pride in his 'Hindu' roots. To the media, he said, "I think faith is something that helps everybody who has faith in their lives, particularly when you have these stressful jobs like I do. Having faith to give you resilience to give you strength is important."
What a paradox! Many pseudo-intellectuals in the home country choose to just dismiss and belittle Hindu culture and its intellectual heritage. They neither have respect for Sanatan Dharma nor have they ever put effort to delve into its extensive spiritual texts.
Nothing is more disheartening in the country than seeing the "Courts of Law" watch in silence while non-Hindu leaders disparage the profound WISDOM of Sanatan Dharma (Hinduism). There are countless instances when leaders and celebrities deliberately belittled Sanatan Dharma and respected courts did not utter a word against them. However, when Nupur Sharma, an outspoken social activist, came out in defense of a deluge of offensive remarks made against Hindu culture, the same court yelled and lambasted her. What if Nupur Sharma on that fateful day was not "provoked"? At least chaos would not have ensued. Who provoked Ms. Sharma, and why are such provocations purposefully ignored while her isolated eruptions are not? Who will answer this reasonably?
Many saints were immediately put behind bars for hate speeches, while non-Hindus, with impunity, deliver hate speeches every day against Hindus, Sanatan Dharma or even the country in various public forums, newsrooms and social media platforms. If Courts of Laws were sincerely strict and unbiased as they are against Hindus, Udhayanidhi Stalin, MK Stalin et al would not have the audacity to ridicule Sanatan Dharma. Therefore, many other leaders are now publicly backing Udhayanidhi Stalin. This is in fact a serious development in the country which is tantamount to leaving the entire Hindu population in the lurch. Are the "custodians" of the constitution listening? Pseudo-secularism has done greater harm to the nation and its integrity. https://www.newsbharati.com//Encyc/2023/9/14/Sanatan-Dharma-and-Western-Intellectuals.html
